About Carly

During those early years she earned distinction as the runner-up in the Junior section of the British Talent Spotting Finals, riding for an international panel of judges and was the only junior rider to receive full marks for her riding theory on day one

Carly worked as a young rider apprentice at Moody Dressage, in England, which involved backing and helping train the young horses, as well as gaining experience with the Grand Prix horses. Her work also included every day to day chores, such as mucking out, property maintenance and stable theory management

She is a former member of Great Britain's National Jnr/YR Dressage Squad and was also offered a position on the Jnr/YR Eventing Squad but turned down that appointment in favour of dressage. She was the Scottish Junior Dressage Champion at two levels on two different horses and represented Great Britain at CDI's in Addington, Hickstead and Roosendaal, Holland. She has taken part in many championships, including both the Le Mieux National Championship and the Five Star Winter Championship. She was also long listed for the Jr/Yr European Championships

While in the United States she has attained her USDF bronze, silver and gold medals. She's had a number of successes; winning the Markel/USEF Four Year Old Dressage National Championship in 2014, with the first score to ever receive in the 90's for that age group and then again winning the Five Year Old Championship the following year. She returned in 2017 to win the preliminary PSG and was placed 3rd overall for Developing PSG. Carly has two USDF Horse Of The Year Titles for both 2nd and 3rd level, with scores in the 80's and FEI scores up to 79%.

Carly has been a demo rider in numerous symposiums in the UK and was selected as a rider for both the Charlotte Dujardin Clinic 2016 (Thousand Oaks, CA) and the Carl Hester Symposium 2017 (Del Mar, CA)

She has trained with the likes of Hannah & Becky Moody, Ferdi Eilberg, Robert Dover, Juan Matute, Debbie McDonald, Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin.

Carly was a member of the USEF Development Dressage Program from 2018-2021 and is currently riding internationally for the United States at Grand Prix. She has competed through GP4* and had wins at CDIW's, with GP, GPS & GPFS national scores ranging from 74%-79%. She was also a Dressage Foundation recipient of the $25000 Anne Barlow Ramsay Grant.

Carly's focus and ambition is to keep producing young horses to Grand Prix, in the hopes that they will be potential team contenders. She is currently building a string of up-and-coming horses and is always on the look out to add to the roster.
